Bike Mechanic
Prompt: Can I get Kokuyou with an fem!s/o that’s a bike mechanic?
Gender: fem!Reader
- The first time Kokuyou saw you, he was speechless and could only stare at you blankly. Barely any makeup on, stained overalls, messily tied up hair, and an expression that screamed ‘Yeah, I’m a female mechanic. Get over it’.
- That was certainly an unexpected twist, but he needed his motorcycle fixed and didn’t care who worked on it. Starless was stressing him out, and Kokuyou was desperate to go on a long ride.
- Whenever you tried to start a friendly conversation, he seemed uninterested. The first time, you thought he was having a bad day, so you became quiet and focused on your work. The second time, you gave him the benefit of the doubt. The third time, fourth time, fifth time…okay, now you were getting irritated. Would it kill him to exchange a few words?
- No matter how much you tried to talk to him, Kokuyou never responded. So, you eventually gave up and concluded that he was not a nice man. You even referred to him as Mr. Grumpy.
- One day, you were heading home and heard a familiar deep voice. Out of curiosity, you peaked into the alleyway to see Kokuyou talking to a younger boy. The boy with a mango streak in his hair complained about being hungry. As soon as he heard those words, Kokuyou took out his wallet and handed the kid money, “Don’t go hungry, Mizuki. I told you before if you need money, just ask.”
- At that moment, your perception of Mr. Grumpy changed drastically. Maybe he wasn’t as bad as you thought, or maybe he needed time to warm up to strangers. Whatever the reason, you were now determined to solve the mystery named Kokuyou.
- From then on, whenever he stopped by the shop, you tried to get him to talk. No matter how much he ignored you, you never gave up. At some point, you unknowingly developed a habit of teasing him.
- “I bet your smile is really attractive. Oh, so that’s why you never smile! You don’t want me falling for you.”
- “Hey, Mr. Grump, looking hotter than usual. You know you would look even hotter if you smile, right?”
- “I’m having a bad day, think you could spare some words? It would make me happy.”
- Even though he didn’t smile or talk, somehow, you felt closer to him. Kokuyou didn’t ignore you as much and made eye contact with you as if he was paying attention to your words. Sometimes, you would see the corners of his lips twitch.
- Was he smiling but stopped when you looked at him? Why did he hide his smile? Wait, why did you care? Why were you so hellbent on getting him to talk? Were you…falling for him?
- That thought ran through your mind every day, and today was no different. You leaned against the sole workbench in the garage, daydreaming about the mysterious redhead. Your mind was preoccupied to the point where you didn’t see two men wandering into the garage.
- Kokuyou was heading to a park but somehow found himself walking to your garage. He had no intention of visiting you until he heard you yell, stay away from me. Without wasting a second, he ran into the work area to find two men flirting with you.
- Team W’s leader immediately turned you towards him, protectively wrapped one arm around your waist, and pressed his lips against yours.
- While kissing you, he shifted his eyes to the two shocked men and glared at them as if warning them to stay away from you. Meanwhile, you remained frozen, too stunned to do or say anything.
- Once the men left, Kokuyou released you and wiped your tears with the back of his index finger. A smirk danced on his lips, “So you aren’t as tough as you act.”
- His words were meant to tease, but you found warmth in them.
- Instead of replying, you tied your arms around him and buried your face in his chest. For a moment, Kokuyou was surprised, but then a chuckle escaped his lips. He was not expecting you to be this needy…and cute.
- “You are having fun hugging me. You sure this hug is just for comfort?”
- “What’s that supposed to mean?” You questioned, looking up at him but still refusing to release him from your arms.
- A single corner of his lip curled up as Kokuyou’s eyes narrowed, “Do you like the feel of my muscles?”
- Your jaw dropped, and a shade of crimson spread across your cheeks. ‘No, you were not thinking about his muscles, but now that he mentioned it… WOW, he is muscular. No, no, no, what am I thinking?’
- “I…was n-not…,” you couldn’t finish your sentence as your mind started climbing the forbidden trail.
- Your heart was a mess, and your mind was trying to stay innocent, but you were happy. Kokuyou finally talked to you and smiled, well, more of a smirk; moreover, he kissed you. You assumed the kiss was more of a warning for the men than a gesture of liking, but who was paying attention to details? A kiss was a kiss, and you prayed this was not the last time you kissed or hugged him.
