Black Friday Time
Prompt: The dorms decide to go Black Friday shopping.
- Riddle wants everyone to follow set rules for Black Friday shopping, but chaos breaks out when Ace and Deuce “accidentally” lose him in the crowd.
- Cater livestreams the whole thing, calling it “Shopping Madness,” but Trey gets on his case for distracting people with his antics.
- Ace grabs random items on sale, saying he will “resell for a profit,” but ends up with useless trinkets like novelty socks.
- Deuce tries to help an old lady reach for something but accidentally knocks over an entire shelf of merchandise, making the employees angry.
- Trey unofficially becomes the group babysitter, chasing after everyone and apologizing to store staff for their behavior.
- Riddle ends up fuming at checkout (and throwing glares at Ace) because they spent money on unnecessary items.
- Leona reluctantly follows Ruggie, who’s determined to score some sweet discounts on home appliances, snacks, and everything he can get his hands on.
- Jack doesn’t like the crowded environment. He spends most of his time shielding people from runaway carts, crazy shoppers, and falling on the ground and being trampled.
- Ruggie sneakily grabs items from people’s carts before they notice. This causes shoppers to fight with each other and blame the other for taking their item. All the while, Ruggie snickers away.
- Leona finds a quiet corner to take a power nap but gets woken up by security, who mistake him for a homeless man. The prince is ANGRY.
- Jack tries to enforce fairness in line-cutting but ends up causing commotion when shoppers refuse to listen to him. Why can’t everyone be fair?
- Ruggie walks out with a cart full of treats. He proudly says it is a win for Team Savanaclaw until Leona realizes the hyena “borrowed” his wallet to pay for it all.
- Azul sees Black Friday as a chance to score some limited-edition stuff for resale through Mostro Lounge’s promotions…at a much higher price.
- Jade finds the perfect way of getting whatever he wants. He flashes a big, creepy smile while silently snatching the last item off the shelf. His smile is enough to send most people running, and mixed with his height and intimidating aura, the humans flee.
- Floyd takes shopping to a whole new level. He pushes through the crowds and yells, “Let’s see who gets crushed first!” He successfully scares people away, creating an opening for him.
- Azul tries to haggle with the cashier, claiming he’s a pro at negotiating. But the cashier says, “No. Sir, everything is already on sale; we can’t give an additional discount.”
- The cashier almost thinks he’s a Karen.
- Jade isn’t interested in getting anything for himself, but he wants to check out the crazier parts of the store. Meanwhile, Floyd starts a mock “tug-of-war” with another shopper, even though he’s not interested in the items in their hands.
- By the end of the day, all three are exhausted. However, the drama and all the scares (rather scaring other people) were worthwhile. They’re looking forward to Black Friday next year.
- Kalim is excited about Black Friday and wants to buy gifts for everyone he knows. Jamil is worried that Kalim will overspend- no, he knows Kalim will overspend.
- So Jamil makes a shopping list, but Kalim gets sidetracked by everything he sees.
- Kalim tries to help shoppers out, and if someone wants what he has, he’ll happily give the item away. At times, he wants to pay for all the customers, but Jamil stops him every time.
- The other half of the time, Jamil stops Kalim from buying things they don’t need, like when Kalim tries to buy ten snow shovels. Jamil has to remind him there’s no snow where they live. But the deals are soooo great.
- Kalim even gets distracted by a kids’ play set and wants to buy it for the NRC students. Jamil doesn’t know what to say and just sighs.
- By the time they return to Scarabia, they have 100s of bags of random items Kalim thought looked cool. Jamil wants to ban Black Friday next year so he doesn’t have to go through this again.
- Malleus is eager to try something new, but his aura makes shoppers run away from him, leaving entire aisles empty whenever he passes by.
- Lilia tries to find the weirdest items, mainly to see Sebek and Silver’s reactions.
- Sebek insists on protecting Malleus from the “wild commoners,” but the dragon says he doesn’t need protection because everyone runs away from him. He looks somewhat sad.
- Silver stands in line to hold the spot but keeps dozing off, causing people to cut him in line.
- Sebek yells at any customers trying to start arguments and fights over items. The security guard almost kicked him out, but Malleus appeared behind him and scared the guard away.
- By the end of the shopping trip, they leave with random items Lilia picked out. His favorite is the singing wall fish. Malleus looks forward to Black Friday next year and hopes he can make friends.
- Black Friday shopping? Seriously? Vil refuses to let any of his dorm’s students take part in such a rowdy event.
- He doesn’t want anyone to get hurt. Rook tries to convince him otherwise, but Vil refuses to listen.
- Epel was excited about shopping for gifts for the townspeople back home, but now, he’s disappointed. Maybe next time – or maybe he could sneak out with Rook’s help and join another dorm.
- Black Friday shopping? You mean going into a crowded place where people are fighting with each other?
- That’s a big nope.
- Why would he bother shopping physically when Ortho could order everything online?
