Exhausted
Prompt: I was thinking what if MC at some point gets sick of being reminded that they could die like everyday and not letting lord diavolo down so they start slacking all of their classes and causing alot of trouble hoping they would get send back to the human world not wanting to tell the brothers this so don’t get heartbroken and when someone finaly ask they just breakdown and go “you try living everyday being reminded everyone around you can kill you and not failing to be good enough for a project you never even got a say in the first place then let see how long it would take for you to be sick of living like this.”
Gender: gn!Reader
Warning: Angst (depending on whether you stay or leave, in Belphie and Levi’s hc)
A/N: Platonic.

- Lucifer feels very guilty after hearing your words. He is the one who picked you as the exchange student, after all.
- He is upset that you didn’t trust him enough to tell him earlier. The Avatar of Pride doesn’t admit this openly and pushes his emotions into the abyss of his heart, the same abyss where he throws all his sadness.
- Luci feels like he failed to watch over you and asks if you want to leave.
- If you choose to leave, Lucifer will be sad but will let you go for your happiness. His last words to you are, “I never expected to be tossed into hell for siding with my sister. I know the feeling of ‘not getting a say in the first place’, and I never meant to make you feel that way. I hope you can forgive me.”
- If you choose to stay, Luci will do everything in his power to protect you, even if it means asking one of his brothers to stay glued to your side. As for not being good enough, he will give you a lecture to be confident in yourself and remind you that you are a special human.

- Mammon is heartbroken and apologizes for not doing a better job protecting you and making you feel comfortable in their world. He asks why you didn’t trust him to tell him your true feelings.
- “I wouldn’t have let you died…even if it meant givin’ up my own life.”
- He wants to cry but waits until he returns to his room.
- Mammon asks you not to leave, but if you choose to go, then he will not come to see you for the last time as he feels abandoned and worthless. But in the end, he will put on his clown nose so that he can cheer his brothers up because Mammon knows they are just as heartbroken as him.
- If you give Devildom one more chance, expect Mammon to be by your side 24/7. Yes, even when you wake up at night, he will be sleeping sitting up against your bedframe. He will do his best to keep you happy, safe, and loved.

- He realizes something is off when you start to avoid doing schoolwork and become a troublemaker. Satan forces you to confess your true feelings faster than any of his brothers.
- The Avatar of Wrath gets angry hearing your words but understands where you can come from. Heck, he didn’t ask to enter the world through Lucifer’s anger, but unlike you, he doesn’t regret coming to Devildom – it’s his home, the only home he knows and has.
- Whether to decide to stay or leave, Satan will ask you one question, “Is the human world a safe place to be? From what I have seen, death can lurk around any corner, so is it really any different than Devildom?”
- If you choose to leave, Satan will be indifferent about it and will come to say goodbye to you. Being the most practical of all the brothers, he doesn’t see the point in forcing you to stay against your will. He gives you one of his uncursed books as a goodbye gift and hopes you won’t forget him or his brothers.
- If you decide to stay, Satan will tell you to stop hiding your feelings from him. He wants to know when you are feeling sad, in pain, or feel unsafe. Also, if you dare to say you are not good enough again, Satan will find every counter-argument in the universe to prove you wrong; he will not stop until he makes you feel like you are the most special person in all of the three realms.

- Asmo notices your odd behavior and knows something is up, so when you have a breakdown and tell him you want to leave, he half expects it; nevertheless, he is still heartbroken.
- He is sorry for not realizing it sooner and asks you if you want to say or leave. Whatever your reply, he still informs Lucifer about everything.
- If you choose to leave, Asmo will be sad, but he will support your decision. Out of all the brothers, he will be the only one who stays in contact with you after you leave. Though he is upset about what happened, Asmo can completely understand that you were brought to Devildom without being asked – that was unfair to you.
- If you choose to stay, he gives you notes every day reminded you that he’s there for you and that you’re more than good enough. Asmo won’t stop until you are confident in yourself.

- Levi is shell-shocked to hear you say you want to leave. He finally found a friend he trusted only to realize the friend didn’t trust him and didn’t want to stay with him.
- He can’t bring himself to say anything more than sorry before walking back to his room – the comfort of his somewhat dark, lonely room. Levi does message Luci but refuses to get involved in your matters any further.
- If you choose to leave, the Avatar of Envy will never trust another person. He blames himself for not being a better friend and says he’s not worthy enough to have a friend. Levi thinks it’s better for him to stay cooped up in his room with his games and animes.
- If you choose to stay, Levi will be happy but will take time to trust you again. Eventually, he will open up to you and will do everything he can to protect you, so expect to see Lotan a lot. He messed up once but will not repeat his mistake.

- Beel is sad when he sees you in tears. He hugs you until you stop crying but doesn’t really see why you don’t feel safe in Devildom; nevertheless, he says he will protect you.
- “If I share my snacks with you every day, will you stay?” Beel doesn’t want to let you go, especially since you are part of his family.
- If you choose to leave, Beel comes to say goodbye and asks you not to leave one last time. He gifts you his favorite snack and gives you a bear hug one last time. After you return to your world, Beel doesn’t understand why his chest feels heavy and eats even more than usual to distract himself from the odd pain in his heart.
- If you choose to stay, Beel will be happy and will keep his promise to share snacks with you every day. He will protect you and make you feel like you matter to him and his family.

- At first, Belphie thinks you’re saying those things due to stress, but when you say you are sick of staying in Devildom, his emotions are all over the place. In the end, he grows angry. He doesn’t say anything for a while, and when he speaks, his words are harsh.
- “Then leave.”
- He even takes the liberty of telling Lucifer that you hate Devildom and tells his eldest brother that he should have done a better job at choosing the exchange student. Then he returns to his room and takes a nap.
- When he wakes up, Belphie realizes he let his anger get the better of him and shouldn’t have asked you to leave.
- If you choose to go, Belphie won’t come to say goodbye and will forever regret his last words to you. His resentment for humans will come back, but he won’t return to hating them like he once did. One question will always stay with him, though, if he asked you to stay, would you have listened?
- If you choose to stay, he will say sorry to you and tell you that he didn’t want you to leave. Unfortunately, the seed of insecurity in his mind – the seed that says you’ll leave – will never stop growing.
