Expressing Anger Through Eyes

  • Eyes narrowed into slits

  • A piercing stare

  • An intense stare

  • Rapid blinking – trying to hold back tears resulting from anger. When some people get angry, they feel pressure in their tear ducts, which forces the tears out.

  • Fixed, cold gaze

  • Locking eyes as if challenging the person they’re angry at

  • Eyes boring into someone to intimidate

  • Red, veiny eyes

  • Unblinking stare

  • Lower eyelid twitching in one eye

  • Lower or upper eyelid spasming involuntarily

  •  Eyes darkening – not literally but more in a metaphorical sense

  • A predatorial look – ready to attack their prey (but in a hunter-like manner)

  • Eyes darting around – either to find a source to calm them down or to see if anyone is watching
