Love Song
Prompt: Headcanons for gn!mc confessing to the demon brothers by singing a love song to them.
Gender: gn!Reader
Warning: HCs are in the character’s POV.

- A bouquet of roses in the center of the table? Rose petals littering the tablecloth? Quite a perfect setup for a confession.
- Though I knew their plan, I was rather curious about the how. How were they planning to confess? Such an elaborate effort into decorating could only mean their confession would not be simple.
- My thoughts were disturbed by the serene sound of an acoustic guitar. Several feet away from the table sat (y/n) on a high bar stool with a guitar sitting on their lap. As they sang with their eyes closed, I could not bring myself to look away from the radiant face.
- A confession through a song? Never would I have guessed, but I enjoyed every moment of the song. Towards the end of the song, they opened their closed eyes and spoke in a sweet yet timid voice.
- “I love you, Lucifer.”
- Their words deeply resonated in my heart, and I could not have asked for more. The gentlest of smiles found its way to my lips as I arose from my chair. (Y/n)’s curious gaze never left my face, even as I took their hand in mind and lightly pressed my lips to the back of their hand.
- “And I love you, (y/n).”

- I had no idea that (y/n) had feelings for me, so when they asked me to listen to a song, I thought they just wanted my opinion on their singin’.
- Once they started singin’, I got so lost in their voice that I didn’t pay attention to the lyrics. It wasn’t my fault, though! (Y/n)’s voice was too beautiful to resist!
- After they finished singin’, for some reason, they were givin’ me a hopeful look, so I hugged them rightly and said I loved their song.
- “That’s all you’ve to say to me?”
- “I got lost in your voice and wasn’t payin’ attention to the lyrics.” Then they hit me with a pout and a sad look, making me nervous. “H-Hey, don’t pout…what’s wrong? Why’re ya sad?”
- “Mammon, you idiot! The song was dedicated to you. Ah, fine, lemme spell it out for you. I LOVE YOU!”
- They love me? (Y/n) LOVES ME!? I felt my cheeks burning and started to get a little emotional, but only a little. This was the happiest moment of my life, and without wastin’ time, I threw my arms around (y/n). “I l-love you too!”

- I wasn’t expecting (y/n) to invite me out with them. Was this a date? Wait, was this a date!? It wasn’t, right? I was starting to get nervous and almost wanted to bail on them, but I didn’t want to make them sad.
- I thought there would be people around us, but (y/n) took me to the Diavolo’s private beach. Date? Date!? DATE? My legs felt like jelly – what if I messed up or said something a shut-in otaku would say?
- “Levi, I have a little surprise for you.”
- Surprise? They have a surprise…for me? My heart was racing out of control, and when (y/n) started singing, my heart couldn’t take it. Their voice was so beautiful and soothing and angelic and…perfect.
- “And Levi, there is one more thing I wanted to say to you. You are very special to me, and I love you with all my heart.”
- Oh, they love me. (Y/n), LOVES ME!? Why do I feel dizzy? No, Levi, you can’t faint. You have to tell them how you feel. It’s now or never! You don’t want to lose them to anyone else, right? So say it!
- “I…I…lo-love you too!” I covered my face with my hands, but (y/n) threw their arms around me. I have never felt this happy before. Nothing bad will happen, right? I…want to be happy…for once.

- I have read quite a few novels, and though I hated to admit it out loud, romantic novels were included. So, the moment (y/n)’s behavior towards me changed, I knew what was going on in their heart.
- I could have made the first move but wanted to see how they would confess to me. But when (y/n) asked me if I wanted to listen to a song, I was not expecting a confession. Though, I should have known, considering how nervous they were.
- It didn’t take me long to figure out the hidden meaning behind the lyrics, but I found myself waiting for the three words. The three words I wanted to hear ever since I discovered my own feelings for (y/n).
- “Satan, thank you for always being there for me…and I…I love you.”
- I was honored that they would sing such a beautiful song for me. I rested my hand on their warm cheek and smiled as widely as I could. “I love you too, (y/n). I love you too.”

- What was this? They were dressed well, the setting was romantic, and (y/n) looked nervous. This was the perfect setting for a heartfelt confession! EEEEEPP! I had to cover my lips to stop a squeal from escaping.
- How were they planning to confess? A letter, maybe? A straight ‘I love you’ while blushing? I was getting too excited and couldn’t stop shaking.
- Their sweet voice tickled my ear, snapping me out of my thoughts. How pretty. They not only looked perfect, but they also sounded equally great. I felt tears collecting in the corners of my eyes as I was beyond happy.
- “So, Asmo, do you love me the way I love you?”
- “Yes, (y/n), I love you more than anyone or anything.” I wiped the corners of my eyes as this was no time to cry. (Y/n) was finally mine, and we could be together forever.

- Food? My nose picked up a mix of different scents, burgers, pizzas, cakes, and much more. Hungry. I was hungry!
- I followed the scent to (y/n)’s room and saw the table behind their bed covered in food. My first instinct was to dig in, but then, I saw (y/n) brightly smiling at me.
- “H-Hey Beel, sit down…um…you can start eating, but um…just sit down!”
- Was it just me, or did they seem nervous? Was something wrong? Were they okay? I wanted to ask them, but my stomach started to growl loudly.
- I started to chow down but was still worried about (y/n). What was that pretty sound? I saw (y/n) sitting across from me, singing with their eyes closed. My mind went back, and all I could do was stare at them with my mouth open.
- “Beel, that song was for you. That’s how I feel about you…I love you.”
- Did they mean they love me like everyone else, or did they love me as something more? I wasn’t sure, but I felt happy – (y/n)’s words filled a part of me that always felt empty.
- “I love you, (y/n)! You’re the best thing that happened to me and Devildom!”
- I didn’t realize it at that time, but I completely forgot about the food in front of me. All I saw was (y/n) and their warm smile.

- Sleepy. I was so sleepy, but (y/n) wanted to see me, and I couldn’t say no. I thought they were calling me to their room to talk to me about something, but when I got there, I saw a candlelight dinner set up for two. Was this a date?
- I didn’t want to jump to conclusions, so I called their name, and out they came dressed in formal attire. Okay, so this was a date. Maybe I should have put more effort into getting ready.
- (Y/n) looked so great that I couldn’t stop myself from blushing. They took me by the hand and led me to a chair before asking me to wait.
- (Y/n) can sing? Since when? I started to feel more awake, and without realizing it, I was grinning like an idiot. But…I was not prepared to hear them say, “I love you, Belphie.”
- I should have seen that coming – the lyrics screamed “I love you”, after all. Blame my he lack of sleep.
- “I love you too, (y/n).” My voice was so gentle that even I was shocked to hear it, but (y/n)’s smile was worthwhile. I honestly have never left this awake in my life, but it was a good kind of awake.
