“Sorry for zoning out, Henry. So many things happened…” 

Henry swam back and forth near Levi’s face, making the demon smile. “You want to know what happened? Alright! For the longest time, you were my only friend. I didn’t think I would make any other friends…until (y/n) came along.” 

The goldfish swam in circles as if disturbed by the third brother’s words. Levi gasped, “No, wait. You’re still my favorite friend. Don’t get upset. No one can take your place.” 

On cue, Henry calmed down and faced Levi, waiting for him to continue. “At first, I didn’t like (y/n). They were nothing more than a normie, and things got worse during the TSL contest. I’m glad Lucifer stopped me from attacking (y/n).” 

He slumped into his chair and sighed, “Then they made a pact with me, but not for the sake of making a pact with me…and that made me upset. Then again, what else was a shut-in otaku like me expecting?” 

The goldfish once again swam in circles, startling Levi. “Right, you don’t like it when I call myself a shut-in otaku…sorry. But do you remember what happened after that?” 

A blush crept on his cheeks as he touched his lips with his fingertips. “T-They kissed me. You saw it, right? Then (y/n) asked me out, and we have been dating since. Hey, Henry…this isn’t a dream, right? Sometimes I feel like I’m going to wake up, and (y/n) will be gone.” 

Henry got closer to his friend and touched his forehead on the aquarium glass. Levi smiled while resting his forehead on the other side of the glass, “Thanks, Henry. I love (y/n) a lot and don’t want to love them.”

Their moment was disturbed by the sound of his bedroom door opening. With a grin, you approached Levi and threw your arms around his neck, whispering, “I love you too,” before exiting the room. 

The demon tilted his head, blinking rapidly. ‘You loved him too? Where did that come from?’ Not that he was complaining. “Henry, thanks fo- wait…eh…EHHHH?” 

Levi slapped the palm of his right hand on his lips upon realizing what happened. You heard everything. You heard his confession! That was not how he imagined he would confess to you, but at least, now you know; moreover, he got to hear your confession. Henry happily watched his dear friend turn into a blushing mess.

You opened your eyes and sat up on your bed. Out of all the dreams you could have had, why that one? 

“Levi, how are you holding up?” You sighed, knowing the answer all too well. “I will find a way to return to the future. I promise. Henry, please take care of him until I come back…”
