Prologue:
Headmaster Crowley had asked the dorm leaders and first-years to decorate NRC for the upcoming festival. After hours of heavy lifting, glitter spilling, and banner making, all of you were resting in the courtyard. You took a seat next to Deuce and rested your head on his shoulder, much to his shock.
“(Y/n), why…are you acting like this?” Deuce whispered. “I mean…flirting with me, staying close by, and trying to get my attention.”
“Deuce, you can’t be serious.”
He stared at you cluelessly, adding to your anger. “For fck sake, tell me you are joking!”
“I…have no idea what you are talking about,” he replied, raising his hands defensively.
“Deuce, the whole school knows the reason! How can you be the only one who doesn’t know?” Seeing that he was still confused, you grabbed him by the face and smashed your lips against his. You pulled away only after the two of you were breathless.
“That’s why!” You growled and stormed out of there.

- Riddle took a sip of his tea while enjoying the gentle breeze. As soon as the two of you started talking aloud, Heartslabyul’s leader got irritated. And, of course, the reason for the disturbance was one of his dormmates.
- Riddle wanted to yell at the dorm member, but hearing that Deuce didn’t know about your feelings shocked him. You had thrown more than enough hints at Deuce to know…and yes, the ENTIRE school knew, including all the teache-
- Riddle spit his tea out when he saw you crush your lips against Deuce. His face turned a deep crimson, but he was in so much shock that he couldn’t look away.
- Even after you left, Riddle sat frozen in place. It was going to take him a long time before he could look in the eyes again.
- Ace stared at the clouds and watched them change shapes. He was bored out of his mind and wanted something exciting to happen.
- When you yelled at Deuce, Ace was startled. This was the first time he heard you raise your voice.
- Man, what the hell did Deuce do? Wait, he didn’t know? Ace wanted to laugh at his dense friend. Even he knew you liked Deuce, so how did Deuce miss this?
- Never once did Ace expect you to kiss his dormmate…so intensely…in public. The redhead heard a weird sound behind him, followed by sweet-smelling liquid dripping down his bangs.
- After you left, he sighed and stared at Deuce for a while before saying, “Hey, you gonna sit there and stare, or are you gonna go after her? In case you still haven’t figured it out, she likes you.”
- Leona sat against a sturdy tree trunk with his eyes closed. The weather couldn’t be more perfect for a peaceful nap. Just as he was about to drift off to sleep, the lion heard you raise your voice.
- Normally, he would have drowned out any voice, but Leona was amused after hearing Deuce’s question. Some people are too stupid for their own good.
- The lion listened closely to your conversation, but then everything grew silent. Leona slightly opened his eyes to see you passionately kissing Deuce.
- He smirked and closed his eyes, impressed by your boldness. You reminded him of the women of his homeland – bold and to the point.
- Jack leaned against one of the trees and patiently waited for everyone to finish resting. But then, he heard Deuce’s question.
- The wolf started to get angry, and he wanted to grab Deuce by the collar and shake some sense into him. If someone like him, who was dense about love, could understand your feelings, how did Deuce not realize it?
- His anger quickly thawed when he saw you pull Deuce in for a long kiss. Jack wanted to yell, “Go get a room,” but instead, he turned his back to you.
- After all, no one could find out that the big bad wolf blushed easily.
- Malleus couldn’t stop smiling. Finally, the students of NRC remembered to invite him to take part in a school “event.” It wasn’t as interesting as he had anticipated, but he was happy nevertheless.
- The dragon heard Deuce’s question, even though it was nothing more than a whisper. Malleus knew humans could be slow, but he didn’t think he would meet one as dense as Deuce.
- He curiously watched the two of you, waiting to see if you would confess to your love. Rarely was Malleus fazed, but your intense kiss caught him off guard.
- A chuckle escaped his lips, especially when he saw Sebek nearly falling on his behind. The dragon stretched his arm out in front of his guard and shook his head. If you were bold enough to kiss Deuce in public, you deserved to enjoy the moment.
- Sebek frowned when he heard you raise your voice. How dare you disturb his young master!
- Wait, what? Deuce wasn’t aware of your feelings? A few months back, it took Sebek less than a minute to figure out your liking for Deuce. How can he be so dense?
- The half-fae was planning to let this incident slide since Malleus seemed happy. That was until you kissed Deuce.
- Sebek stepped back, nearly losing his balance. How could you do something so indecent in front of the young master? He was ready to separate you two, but Malleus stopped him.
- This was the first and last time, though; if you dare to kiss Deuce in public again, Sebek plans to give you a piece of his mind.
- Vil closed his eyes and listened to the rustling of the leaves. How peaceful, he thought until your voice filled his ears.
- Just as he was about to ask you to keep your voice down, Vil heard Deuce’s reply. Hm? What is this? He wasn’t aware that (y/n) liked him?
- Pomefiore’s leader pitied you for falling in love with a dense man. How obvious does a woman have to be to get Deuce to realize her feelings? Truly pitiful.
- Seeing your connected lips, Vil frowned. He was not a fan of heavy PDA, but he could understand your anger, as kissing seemed the only way to make Deuce realize the truth.
- Honestly, Vil thought you deserved better, but your life and your choices. As they say, love is blind.
- Epel was astonished to hear you raise your voice. Did you have a hidden side like him?
- The hell- how in the world could Deuce not see the love in your eyes? He deserved a good beatin’.
- When Epel saw you kiss your love, he quickly looked away. This kind of behavior was for closed doors, and if his meemaw saw this, she would give you an earful.
- He was thankful when the two of you stopped kissing, but at the same time, Epel had to hold back from commenting about how clueless Deuce was.
- Idia was hiding in the shadows, wishing for the day to be over. All he wanted was to return to the comfort of his room.
- Hearing your voice, Idia pressed his back to the wall and stared at you in horror—how he hated loud sounds.
- Like the others, the blue-haired man was speechless when he learned how dense Deuce was. If an introvert like him could understand your feelings, how did Deuce not pick up on it?
- Just as he thought things couldn’t get any worse, Idia saw you kiss Deuce and nearly collapsed to the ground. The dorm leader pulled his hood over his face but still couldn’t get the image of the kiss out of his mind.
- Idia couldn’t register anything after that, not you storming away, not Deuce chasing after you, nothing. All he wanted to do was wash his brain with bleach to forget the entire day.
- Azul was enjoying his afternoon snack until the two of you started talking loudly. Intrigued by your sudden outburst, the octopus quietly watched the drama unfold in front of him.
- He couldn’t understand how Deuce could be so clueless. Then again, he shouldn’t be surprised.
- As soon as Azul saw you kiss Deuce, his jaw dropped, and his cheeks turned red. Not wanting anyone to see his reaction, the octopus lowered his head. H-How could anyone kiss so openly in public…and continue kissing this shamelessly? If he could, Azul would have stuck his entire head in the ground.
- When you stormed away, Azul took a deep breath and silently exhaled in relief. At least now Deuce knew the truth but at the cost of forcing the rest of them to witness this uncomfortable moment.
- Kalim watched you sit next to Deuce and smiled widely, but his smile vanished when he saw you upset. Did something happen?
- He…doesn’t know? How did Deuce not figure it out? Kalim was baffled; even someone as spacey as him figured out your feelings. But he wanted to give Deuce the benefit of the doubt – maybe Deuce’s heart knew, but his mind didn’t want to accept it.
- At first, Scarabia’s leader was stunned by the kiss, but he was smiling in no time. The kiss should be enough to answer Deuce’s question.

- Deuce had no idea what you were hinting at, and the longer the conversation continued, the more confused he got.
- Why were you mad at him? He just wanted to know why you were so comfortable around him. It’s not like he was complaining- if anything, Deuce was happy.
- The whole school knows something he doesn’t? Before he could say anything, Deuce saw you draw closer to his face. The sudden rush of pleasure made him dizzy, and his mind completely shut down.
- Even after you left, he had difficulty processing everything until Ace spelled it out for him. She likes me? That’s why she is acting this way? Deuce felt dumb, but he didn’t have time to sit around and sulk.
- “(Y/n),” he whispered, cautiously approaching you, “I…am s-sorry. Um, will you listen to what I have to s-say?”
- Though you didn’t reply, he took your answer as yes. Deuce sighed and fixed his eyes on the ground, “I…have a habit of disappointing people I care about…I am trying to improve myself, but…”
- He grew silent for a bit before continuing, “You are perfect in every way possible, and you could get any guy you want…so I was confused why you were so friendly with me. I still can’t believe you like me. If it’s okay with you…I want to ask for something…c-could you please k-kiss me again?”
