Teen MC 10: Solomon's Apprentice
Prompt: Could I request the dateables (and the brothers if you want) reacting to Solomon taking the teen mc as his apprentice? Like, one day Solomon found MC in the library trying to do magic like him and he’s all smug, after teasing them he goes “y’know what? You’re my apprentice now.”
Gender: gn!teen!Reader
A/N: Platonic.
Solomon
- When Solomon entered the library, he sensed unusual magic and decided to investigate. As he got closer to the source, the sorcerer saw you attempting to imitate the spell he showed you yesterday.
- A smirk danced on his lips as he quietly approached you from behind. “I had no idea you were interested in my magic.”
- “S-Solomon, what are you d-doing here?” You asked, taken aback by his unexpected visit.
- The magician chuckled, “Well, we are in the library, right? I came in search of a book but look what I found instead. Are you perhaps interested in me?”
- Your cheeks glowed red as you averted your eyes, “N-No, I just think magic is c-cool.”
- “Then how about I take you in as my apprentice?” He paused and shook his head, “Actually, no, you’re going to be my apprentice from today onwards.”
- “Okay, I se- wait, what?”
- “I will see you tomorrow morning for your first lesson,” he chuckled and walked away, leaving you staring at his back with eyes wide and jaw dropped.
Barbatos
- Barbatos came to visit Solomon but was surprised to see you with him. Then again, you two were the only humans among demons and angels, so it would make sense for you to spend time with the sorcerer.
- He quietly watched from afar as you jumped up and down in front of the silver-haired man. “Solomon! Solomon! Solomon! I have something to show you.”
- The wizard chuckled and patted your head, “What do you want to show me?”
- “Look what I can do!” You grinned, drawing an invisible pattern in the air. As soon as you stopped, several colorful orbs appeared around you. “I did it! I learned my first spell.”
- Barbatos chuckled and decided to wait for Solomon to notice him, not wanting to disturb the two of you.
- A few minutes later, the sorcerer stepped out of his room and smiled at the demon, “Sorry to keep you waiting.”
- “Solomon, are you certain you wish to teach (y/n) your magic?” The butler asked curiously, “It seems as though you have a hidden motive.”
- “I don’t. (Y/N) was interested, so I decided to teach them.”
- One corner of Barb’s lips slightly curled up, “I see.”
Diavolo
- You ran into Diavolo’s office and excitedly informed him about your apprenticeship.
- “Is that so? I’m happy for you! I wish you all the best,” the prince smiled, “I am certain Solomon will teach you well.”
- Though he encouraged you, Diavolo was concerned about Solomon’s interest in you. Why would a powerful king be interested in teaching a human child to use magic? And that too the spells he crafted?
- “Barbatos, why is Solomon interested in (y/n)?”
- “He replied simply due to the child’s interest in magic,” the demon butler responded.
- “Do you believe his words?” The prince asked, glancing at him.
- “I do not, but my lord, I can say that Solomon has no intention to harm (y/n).”
- “I see,” Diavolo sighed, “Lucifer is not going to be happy about this.”
- Barbatos chuckled, “He will be quite upset. My lord, are you prepared to deal with Solomon and Lucifer?”
- The Ruler of Devildom exhaled loudly, “I don’t have a choice…”
Simeon
- “You…are learning from Solomon?” Simeon asked as his eyebrows arched up, “He asked you to be his apprentice? Is that so?”
- The angel knew the sorcerer would be a great teacher, but he couldn’t understand why his dormmate was showing such a high interest in making you his apprentice.
- Simeon knew Solomon had rejected many students seeking his guidance, so why did he volunteer to be your teacher? Did the wizard see something in you that he couldn’t?
- “What do you have in mind, Solomon? I hope you have no plans of using (y/n) in any way…,” the older angel sighed and stared out the window, “I wonder if he would tell me if I asked him directly.”
Luke
- “You’re learning how to use magic?” Luke asked, blinking rapidly, “If that is what you want, then I will support you.”
- The young angel smiled, “If you are Solomon’s apprentice, then you will visit our dorm often, right?”
- When you nodded, Luke’s eyes began to sparkle. “I can’t wait to spend more time with you!”
- “Same here, Luke,” you chuckled at his cuteness.
- “Oh, remember to rest and eat properly, and if you get hungry when you’re here, tell me,” Luke smiled widely, “I will cook for you!”
Asmo
- Asmo was happy to hear you were going to be the sorcerer’s assistant, but at the same time, he warned you.
- “Solomon will work you to the bones and will even make you do his chores,” the Avatar of Lust sighed, “I would know better than anyone else.”
- “So, he’s going to make me do his chore?” You pouted, “How do I get out of doing it?”
- “Tell me. I have already thrown him 400 leagues, before, and I will do it again,” Asmo laughed.
- “You did what? Why?”
- “He kept making me do his chores…so I decided to punish him for it. I even broke my perfectly manicured nails thanks to his chores,” Asmo sighed and looked at his nails, admiring their perfection.
Beel
- “You are learning how to use magic?” Beel questioned, tilting his head to one side.
- “Yes, Solomon is teaching me.”
- “Then do your best! If you get hungry studying at night, then tell me, I will make us something to eat,” he beamed.
- “Thanks, Beel. You’re the best!” You hugged him and chuckled.
- “Once you learn how to use magic properly, I won’t have to worry about being hungry,” he said, returning your hug.
- “Why do you say that?”
- “If you know how to use magic, then you can magically make food appear, can’t you?” Beel gave you such a sweet smile that you didn’t have the heart to tell him that was impossible.
Belphie
- “Why…would you ask Solomon to teach you? Is it because he’s a human?” Belphie asked, sounding a bit annoyed, “I could’ve taught you if you asked me.”
- “Oh…well…,” you mumbled.
- “I am going to sleep,” he huffed and lied in his bed with his back to you.
- “Okay, um…I guess I will go talk to Solomon about new spells.”
- Just as you were about to get up, Belphie grabbed your hand and pulled you beside him.
- “You’re going to take a nap with me,” he said in a drained voice and held onto your hand firmly, making sure you can’t leave. “Don’t give him all of your time…save some time to spend with me.”
Levi
- “R-Really?” Levi asked in shock, “You’re interested in magic? I didn’t…know that.”
- “Yes! Solomon took me as his apprentice, and I’m very excited to learn from him. Some day I will be just as strong as him,” you grinned and clapped your hand together, “you just wait.”
- “If you l-learn any cool spell, s-show me, okay?” Levi smiled but quickly shifted his eyes away from you, “Um…can you learn any spells to make Ruri-chan visit my dreams often?”
- He spoke in such a soft voice that you didn’t catch all his words, “What was that?”
- “N-Nothing!” He held his palms in front of him, “D-Don’t forget to vi-visit me…even when you’re busy.”
Lucifer
- As soon as Lucifer found out, he wanted to tear everything around him into shreds. Why Solomon of all people? Did he tell you that wizard is not trustworthy?
- The Avatar of Pride had a bad feeling about this. Solomon had to have an ulterior motive. Is Diavolo going to let this happen? It’s a matter of your safety after all.
- One question bit away at Lucifer. “Why would he approach (y/n) first? Does Solomon plan to use them against us, or is he trying to keep us on edge?”
- Whatever the reason, Lucifer planned to keep a close eye on you and the sorcerer. He was not going to let that king hurt you in any way.
Mammon
- “Wait, you’re learning to use magic?” Mammon thought for a bit before speaking, “Um…then can ya help me get outta debt?”
- “How…would I do that?” You asked confused.
- “Ya know, like use your magic to make it rain money,” the demon suggested while resting his hands on his hips.
- “What? That’s impossible!”
- “Okay…how about makin’ it rain diamonds?”
- You stared at him blankly and sighed loudly, “Seriously?”
- “Okay, how about gold?” The Avatar of Greed shrugged his shoulders.
- “Do I look like a goddess to you?” You slapped the flat of your palm against your forehead.
- “Can’t ya do somethin’ to help me?” Mammon asked, almost making puppy eyes and pouting.
- “Yes, I can…by telling you not to gamble and spend money recklessly,” you chuckled, “and I can give you a hug if that’ll make you feel better.”
- “Now you sound like Lucifer,” Mammon shook his head and exhaled, “but I’ll take that hug.”
Satan
- “You…what?” Satan asked in shock, “Why Solomon? You could’ve asked me or borrowed one of my spell books.”
- He shook his head and looked away disappointed, “Regardless, if you ever need help, then let me know.”
- “Thank, Satan!” You threw your arms around him before leaving his room.
- “Lucifer is not going to be happy about this, and neither am I. What would Solomon want with (y/n)?” Satan whispered to himself, running his fingers through his hair.
- He blankly looked at one of the nearby bookshelves, “I will have to keep a close eye on this, and I’m sure some of the others are planning to do the same.”
