Child MC 3: Religious MC

Prompt: Can I request HCs for the boys with a child MC, who is Christian, wears religious necklaces and earrings, VERY quietly praying every night, and just overall, very obviously Christian and feels uncomfortable being near demons, subtly hiding behind the angels or even Solomon? Assume the Mc is polite yet extremely cold towards demons.

Gender: gn!child!Reader

A/N: Platonic. Sequel to this: Child MC 7: Religious 2

Diavolo

  • Diavolo was relieved that MC was at least polite, but he was hoping they would warm up to demons. After all, the whole point of the exchange program was to unite the three realms.
  • However, the prince was not fond of MC holding up a cross in front of him every time he tried to interact with them. Were they aware that showing him the cross was not going to do anything? That was just a superstitious belief humans made up.
  • Regardless, Diavolo was determined to make MC feel comfortable in Devildom. He knew that some demons would not take well to the child praying, but he had faith in the demon brothers.

Barbatos

  • Oh, dear, the brothers and Diavolo were in for a bumpy ride. At least he was lucky that he wouldn’t have to interact with MC much, but the brothers were living with them, and the prince needed to talk to them to know how their student life was going.
  • Whenever MC would stop by the castle, he baked their favorites but preferred not to speak to them unless necessary.
  • Their cold glares and icy words were enough for him to maintain his distance, but in case he saw MC stepping out of the boundary around Diavolo, he would remind them to be polite.

Simeon

  • Simeon felt bad for the demon every time MC would act cold towards them. He tried multiple times to tell the child that these demons were nothing like the ones humans imagined, especially not the demon brothers.
  • Whenever MC hid behind him, Simeon would apologize to the demon they were hiding from. He liked Diavolo’s vision to bring the three realms together and wanted the exchange program to be a success.
  • The older angel hoped that MC would warm up to Devildom as Luke did. It might take time, but maybe one day, the child will look past the religious veil and see the demons of Devildom for who they are.

Luke

  • As soon as Luke heard MC chanting a prayer and saying they were not fond of demons, he immediately liked them. Their thoughts were similar to his!
  • But the more Luke saw MC interacting with the demons, the more he started to pay attention to the demon’s expressions. MC’s cold behavior actually hurt the demons’ feelings.
  • From then on, the young angel tried to point out the good side of demons. He was happy his new friend was religious, but at the same time, he wanted them to open up to the idea that “not all demons are bad.”

Solomon

  • Solomon found it interesting that Diavolo would welcome a religious child to Devildom. On one hand, the child could learn firsthand that demons aren’t always bad, but on the other hand, wouldn’t it make more sense to invite someone open-minded?
  • The wizard had to admit it was hilarious to see MC chanting prayers in front of demons, thinking it would affect them. Not to mention all the jewelry MC wore to ward off the evil. The child was too innocent and adorable.
  • Solomon, like the others, wants to help them see demons for who they are. It might take time, but the end result will be worthwhile.

Satan

  • Whose bright idea was it to bring a religious child to Devildom – a place filled with demons? Also, why did Diavolo ask them to stay in the House of Lamentation? If they like angels, wouldn’t it make more sense for them to stay in Purgatory Hall?
  • To win their heart, Satan gave them religious books to read and gifted MC religious jewelry, hoping they would warm up to him and not see him as a monster.
  • Satan won’t lie – whenever MC acted cold, it hurt him. In his defense, he never asked to become a demon. At least his brothers had a choice, but he never got one.

Asmo

  • Asmo was friendly with MC and didn’t mind that they were religious, but he wished they would stop hissing at him every time he tried to talk to them.
  • To get MC’s attention, he told them stories from the Celestial Realm when he was an angel.
  • Even after all that, if MC doesn’t want to talk to him, Asmo respects their choice. If anyone needs him, he will be sitting in the corner of his room, sulking.

Lucifer

  • Maybe he shouldn’t have randomly picked a student, but out of all the applicants, why did it have to be a religious child? Children were already hard to deal with – Lucifer felt the need to apologize to everyone in Devildom.
  • Lucifer did everything he could to make MC feel comfortable, respected their boundaries, and even quietly took the hatred they threw his way.
  • He honestly hopes they will open up to the idea of demons not being evil; otherwise, his brothers will never let him live it down.

Mammon

  • Mammon didn’t mind MC showing him a cross or praying in front of him, but he couldn’t bear their cold attitude. Not to mention, their mean words also stung a lot.
  • He wasn’t evil and was determined to prove this to MC. If they ever got into trouble, Mammon would take the blame; if they needed help, he would be the first to volunteer. He would give MC random gifts, from sweets to clothes to toys.
  • Mammon knew he had a long way to go before gaining their trust, and he hoped MC would see his efforts. If they don’t, Mammon might just cry and lock himself in his room for days.

Beel

  • Beel couldn’t pretend like his brothers – MC’s words and behavior hurt him a lot. He never once was mean to them, yet they were always bitter with their words. What did he do to deserve this?
  • He didn’t stop being nice to them, but why did MC always act like he was going to hurt them? When he offered them food, they acted like he poisoned it; when he would ask how their day went, they would glare at him and walk away. He even shared stories about Lilith and the Celestial Realm, thinking MC might like to hear stories from his days as an angel.
  • When none of that worked, Beel decided to give MC space but would always leave snacks in front of their bedroom door. Maybe one day, they might open up to him.

Belphie

  • Belphie had no energy to deal with a child that hated demons. At one point in his life, he hated humans, so he could understand where MC was coming from.
  • For the most part, he could ignore everything MC said and did, but the only thing that bothered him was the child’s behavior towards Beel. He told his twin to ignore MC; it was their loss if they didn’t want to accept Beel’s friendship.
  • Belphie would make an effort to be nice to MC if they were nice to him first. However, he couldn’t deny that seeing a tiny human praying away demon was actually hilarious – like the power of prayers was going to work in Devildom.

Levi

  • Levi wasn’t surprised by MC’s cold behavior – it was not like most people were nice to him anyway. Also, who thought it was a good idea to bring a religious human to hell? Even he could have told the student council that this was not a great idea.
  • The child’s glares, cold words, and prayers were enough to keep Levi FAR away from them. He already had a lot going on and didn’t need to “deal with a demon-hating child” on his plate.
  • Levi seriously wondered about MC’s parents – if this child was so religious, he wondered how the parents were. He could imagine him saying hi to them and the parents calling an exorcist to finish him off.  Just thinking about it made his body shiver.
